The story behind
Student Founded, Tampa Built.
Pelican Exteriors started in 2026 — a student in Tampa with a pole, a truck, and the conviction that most people’s experience of a home service company is worse than it needs to be. Not the cleaning itself. The showing up when you said you would, answering the phone, doing what you told the customer you’d do.
That was 50+ Tampa Bay homes ago. It’s Pelican Exteriors LLC now, run by Gavin Meltcher with a small team of local students, on commercial-grade equipment and a training standard we don’t bend.
We’re growing fast, and we know what we’re building toward: one of the biggest window cleaning companies in Tampa, at a price the big franchises can’t match. Staying small-team and local is how we keep both halves of that true.

Pure water, commercial equipment, and the frames and sills done as part of the job. We're not the cheapest in Tampa and we're not trying to be.

Reverse osmosis and deionized water. No soap film, no residue, and second and third stories reached from the ground.

How we work
Pure Water, Not Soap.
Exterior glass gets cleaned with a water-fed pole running on pure water. Tap water goes through reverse osmosis and deionization until there are essentially no dissolved minerals left in it, which matters for one specific reason: water with nothing in it dries without leaving anything behind.
No spots, no soap film, and nothing left on the glass for dirt to grab onto next week. It also means we reach second and third stories from the ground.
Interior glass is the opposite approach: squeegee by hand, slower and more controlled, with everything under the window protected before anything gets wet.
